It’s magical. It was beyond our imagination. The landscape changes every moment, leaving us in awe. The house is well situated and we felt perfectly fine in the middle of the heat wave. It is pristine, tastefully put together, and comfortable. The nearby towns are quaint, have all one needs, and just the right distance away. We can’t wait to go back! Thank you for taking great care of us!
Los Vientos Hideaway is amazing! Absolutely stunning views and very comfortable living space. I can not wait to go back!
We loved staying at the Los Vientos desert homestead. It’s a beautiful setting (make sure to wake up at sunrise one morning and take a walk!) and the house itself is perfectly cozy and economical—everything you need. I had thought from the description it would be more remote but it’s actually a pretty convenient drive to Pioneertown or to 247, which takes you to Joshua Tree and Yucca Valley. Highly recommend!
We had another great stay at Los Vientos Hideaway. Host is great and responsive. Love the views, quiet and landscape with great hikes. Even though the house is small it meets all our needs and a couple visiting the desert for a few nights. Everything was supplied that we needed, bring your own flashlight for night time though! We will be back again.
This property and host were amazing! My husband and I were looking to escape from the city to recharge and I’m so happy we came here. Bennett was very accommodating and takes care of his beautiful property! My dog absolutely fell in love with it! Everything in the house was clean, well maintained, and accessible. Definitely will stay here again when visiting!
The place is incredible! The sunset and sunrise views are worth it alone. It’s secluded secluded but not totally isolated, which is a good balance. We didn’t see anyone else on our hikes and it was so quiet the entire stay. The house was equipped with basic amenities, which was so helpful and an added little bonus. The pdf and extensive info he provides is so helpful and we used it several times. Highly recommend this place for two people!!
Stunningly beautiful relaxing stay. My husband and I spent a week at this lovely property in winter. The views are amazing, the stargazing is stellar, and the hiking is right out the back door. The house is designed for relaxation with a serene interior design and large picture windows in the perfect spots to watch the sunrise at dawn from the cozy bed to the sunset from the couch, dining room or patio. We loved making breakfast and a picnic basket in the mornings before heading out to the National Park for the day. Although on a few days we choose to stay home and just hike in the outer back 40. We also found Pappy and Harriet’s to be an excellent experience. Ben is great to work with.
Super cute and fun property. Well stocked and VERY clean (which we loved). We would definitely go back. A+
Our experience at Los Vientos Hideaway was exceptional. It’s a great place to stay for anyone who enjoys photography, hiking, or who just wants a secluded desert getaway. My boyfriend and I loved the home decor and waking up to absolutely beautiful desert views. The bed is also extremely comfortable. The hosts are fantastic and a joy to correspond with. We can’t wait to return! Would highly recommend.
Relaxing getaway with amazing views and peaceful solitude. From the moment you arrive at Los Vientos Hideaway you realize special a place it is. My wife and I went for a long weekend and were very pleasantly surprised by how nice the house was. Everything is immaculate inside. The views at sunrise from the bedroom at at sunset out on the porch are simply amazing. You really feel the beauty of the desert when you’re there. We went to Joshua Tree National Park on two days of our stay and it is just a short drive from the house. Ben, the owner, was great to deal with online. He had someone local meet us when we arrived to explain a few simple things about the house. Each night ended with a fire and the fireplace. I really can’t recommend this place enough, and we look forward to getting back sometime soon.
My wife and I are both new to airbnb, and this was our first trip through the cite. The directions Bennet left for us were detailed and very useful for use newbies, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience with the logistics of arriving to a house where our cell dropped out, and we needed those directions to arrive—the directions to, and subsequently with, Los Vientos were flawless. The description you read about the place holds up as well. I recommend taking the path of the property for day hikes—just follow the directions and you will be hiking paths right out the front door of this place—we will return for sure. Like others here posted, we were pressed on finding reasons to leave when the time came.
The pictures made this place look really lovely but they barely do it justice. It’s such a wonderfully decorated and maintained house in an absolutely breathtaking environment. We went from Wednesday to Friday morning, it was dead quiet and serene. Beautiful hikes just outside he front door, past enormous boulders surrounded by hundreds of little animals. The house is so well thought out and full of tiny luxurious provisions that made it feel like a loved home. Can’t wait to come back and can’t recommend it enough. Thank you Benett for your hospitality and quick responses in arranging this all.
Los Vientos Hideaway is simply WONDERFUL!! The peace and quiet is second to none and Bennett has done an incredible job of making the accommodation 5 star quality! The amenities were perfect, and the house welcoming and idyllic. Everything was just as described, if not better and the welcome guide was a fantastic reference point for thing to do and places to go. We couldn’t have asked for better accommodation and a more refreshing location. We would gladly come back again and Bennett was a great host.
Had a great time at the Los Vientos Hideaway. Truly spectacular views from every window. Would stay there again!
Los Vientos Hideaway is a perfect escape to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the Joshua Tree area. The proximity to the Sand to Snow National Monument is definitely a major plus and the home has everything you might need during your stay. The A/C unit in the bedroom definitely helps you get a good night’s sleep by keeping it cool but the rest of the house has a tendency to be quite warm during the day. Overall, we had a wonderful time! I definitely recommend staying at Los Vientos Hideaway.
Los Vientos Hideaway was everything and more than we expected. My girlfriend and I made the trip primarily to get some R&R, and to go watch a show at Pappy & Harriett’s, both were magical experiences. The property was very secluded (as the photos depict), and also relatively close to Pappy & Harriett’s just as described. After all the relaxing we finally explored one of the trails that leads into the valley and we were amazed with what we found. We’ve been bouldering in Joshua Tree in the past, but this was like having Joshua Tree and the boulders right in our backyard. Overall we loved this place, and are already planning our next trip...
Wonderful gem in the desert.
We had a fantastic stay at Los Vientos Hideaway. The landscape around the house is simply other worldly in the most beautiful way. The night sky was magical! The house is exceptionally well equipped with everything you might possibly need. We brought food and made good use of the kitchen. That meant we didn’t have to drive out once during our entire stay. We went on some longer and shorter hikes, both easily accessible on foot from the house. We were surprised by the temperature being much more comfortable than in Palm Springs area thanks to the elevation. We didn’t even run the AC. Can’t wait to come back to experience this landscape in snow! The check-in process was clear and easy. The house was very clean too. Very happy all around.
I was looking for a quiet and removed place to decompress, do some thinking and writing— and Los Vientos fit that bill. Since I was by myself I wanted something on the smaller side. Well, Los Vientos is perfect for a single person or a couple. It is clean and well appointed, but also has character. The views out any of the many windows of this home are spectacular. And the location cannot be beat as it backs up to the Snow to Sand monument trail - which is practically out the back door. You will not find many people on this trail.
Absolutely STUNNING views. Great walking, rock climbing trail. Very private. I will definitely be back! Thomas
Perfect location, with breathtaking views in every direction. I just got back from a 2 night stay at the peaceful Los Vientos. The location set high on a point in Pipes canyon affords you beautiful views in every direction. Right out the front door is a nice walk through the high desert to a beautiful area of boulders, I could have spent all of my time right there. The house is unobtrusive to its surroundings. Every room has a million dollar view. With the radiant sunrise to the tranquil sunset you could waste a day away watching the landscape change as the sun moves across the landscape. The home was extremely clean and tastefully decorated. Everything I needed was there. Los Vientos is great find in the high desert. I can’t wait to return to this hideaway!
Perfect location and very clean house which provides hiking trails right from the door! Bennett is a great communicant and helpful host.
This place has to be experienced to be believed. Literally the end of the world, complete silence, absolutely stunning. It was very hard to leave. I am a regular to this part of the valley and rate this at the top. Bennet was very accommodating to our late check-out request. Thank you!
Perfect home and experience! The most peaceful weekend in a very clean, light-filled, hilltop house!
My girlfriend and I had a great experience in the high desert. It was warm but the breeze kept sitting outside enjoyable and the AC in the bedroom made for easy sleeping. We cooked our meals with ease, had a Saturday dinner at Pappy & Harriet’s (awesome BBQ) and Yucca Valley was close enough for civilization if needed. Full moon kept the skies bright which somewhat limited our star viewing. We’d like to go back in the fall for some longer hikes and cooler weather. If you want solitude, desert viewing for hours and space from the “real world”, this is your place. We will be back.
We loved our little hideaway experience! Beautiful view and a great quiet area to be tucked away in. House was wonderful. Clean and cozy. Bed and pillows were very comfortable which was a pleasant surprise! Instructions are very detailed, just make sure to write down the directions!
Ben was a wonderful host, and his home was a beautiful, and comfortable retreat away from the hustle and bustle of typical city life. I would highly recommend his home to anyone looking to get away and experience the magic that is desert life.
Los Vientos is truly a gem in the middle of the desert! The house was beautiful, great amenities, great hosts, great views and perfect position to visit the many hiking trails all around. We enjoyed the evenings sitting outside watching the wildlife, sunset, and the moon rise. Looking forward to booking here again for a relaxing, nature filled getaway!
We absolutely loved our stay at Los Vientos Hideaway! The house had so much privacy. We loved the decor and added amenities too. All of the little things really add up and make the place standout from others. Providing plenty of big, fluffy, clean towels that are welcoming to use may sound like a standard in any place you stay but that’s not always the case, and you can tell that Bennett has thoroughly thought these things through. We really liked the added bonus of the LV Information PDF- both emailed and printed in the binder at the house. The detailed breakdown of what was in house was such a lifesaver when it came to packing! I feel like we’ve now been spoiled with this PDF because I will be wanting one for every AirBnB stay! The place is nice and cool and VERY WINDY! ;) Simply, open up a window or two in the living room and the whole house is cooled off. Like many have said before us, make sure to use the directions provided by Bennett as you may lose service for a bit.
It was the perfect Airbnb experience. Bennett was quick to respond and happy to help in any way, great directions and instructions, and really made us feel welcome. His place: absolutely amazing. A beautiful location, a charming, tasteful, welcoming home, a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, crisp linen, and everything was immaculate. I can’t speak highly enough of it: the photographs do not do it justice. Our family had a fantastic weekend.
Bennett is a great host. Completely prepared to let you check in on your own, offer a clean relaxing space, great towels and amenities. The home is a perfect desert getaway. You are surrounded by beautiful private landscape. We were a bit worried about how remote we might be but as it turns out there are long dirt driveways all around leading to other private homes which helped us feel not completely remote. This house sit atop a hill so you have the best view and feel like you are all alone. We will rent again and again - also one of the most comfortable beds I ever slept on. (I meant to look at the mattress to see what kind it was -haha). The hike down the driveway and off into the desert behind the house was remarkable. We were the only ones out there all day. Thank you Bennett!
Great place, everything was as described. Clean and comfortable. Perfect quiet get away.
We were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to see a wonderfully kept home with some very comfortable features. The views are quite amazing and the indoor fireplace was quite a welcome since it was unusually cold when we got there. I really loved the fact that you can wander to the boulders and explore the beautiful valley and its vegetation. Definitely the place to go if you want to unplug.
The house was as described - great views, cute/quaint, modern, and clean. The owner provided an organized document with instructions, descriptions, and recommendations. The house is in a secluded area and allowed us to explore and go for walks without having to drive. We also saw a lot of small animals and plants/bushes/rocks. Please note (and the owner also describes this) that there isn’t cell reception and the road leading to the house (about a 2 min drive) is on dirt & rocks so drive carefully. Overall it was a wonderful experience, and we would love to return again!
